To adjust a transaction that has been matched in Simple Fund 360, locate and select the transaction(s) and simply select Unmatch.
From the Main Toolbar, select Accounting. By default, the Transaction List will be selected.
Using the Transaction Filters locate the transactions that you want unmatched.
Select the checkbox to highlight the transactions, select
Note: Transactions that have been manually entered cannot be unmatched. These transactions can only be edited or deleted.
Multiple CGT events for the same parcel
Whereas there are multiple CGT events for the same parcel, the system will lock the transaction. Scenarios include below:
Buy and sell to the same parcel
Buy and add an instalment to the same parcel
Buy and process return of capital to the same parcel
Users will need to unmatch transactions to make updates to individual transactions.
An SMSF has purchased 1,000 units of BWX Ltd, 40,000 units of Yojee Ltd (YOJ), 3,209 units of BBX Minerals (BBX), and disposed of 40,000 units of Yojee Ltd (YOJ) on 22/05/2018 using one broker account. Consequently, the broker account calculated the net transaction amount and took $6,233.52 from the fund's bank account, shown as below.
This transaction is locked, where users can not make any updates. The system will also give a warning message when users click on the transaction.
In order to update individual transactions, select the transaction, and click Unmatch.
Select OK to confirm.
Transactions will now be broken into individual parcels where users can update as needed. (with the exception of the initial purchase of YOJ shares, which is a locked transaction due to CGT events)
