Overview
The Lodgement Status report is now available to prepare. This will display the status of each Annual Return currently validated and awaiting electronic lodgement. The statuses are obtained from the Lodgement Status column in the Electronic Lodgement screen.
Select your lodgement status filter prior to preparing the report:
| Lodgement Status | Description |
|---|---|
| All | All funds, regardless of financial year and lodgement status |
| Not Prepared | All funds that have not been prepared, regardless of financial year |
| Lodged | All lodged funds in the current financial year |
The Document Status column refers to the status of a return as outlined in the ATO Forms screen of The SMSF Annual Return.
Document Statuses available:
- Processed
- Validated
- Lodged
- Incomplete
- Lodged (Manually)
- Saved/Edited
- Printed
- Sent to Client
- Assessment sent to Client
- Reviewed by Partner
- Assessment Paid
- Assessment Received
- Sent to Partner
How to Prepare
This report is prepared from the Electronic Lodgement screen.

| Select Lodgement |  |
Select the Lodgement Status Report.
Select the PDF/Excel/CSV toggle, Lodging Parties, and Lodgement Status, Reporting Date for the report.
Note: Multiple Lodging Parties can be selected from the drop-down list.
Please note that setting the Reporting Date to 'No Filter' will generate reports looking at only the current year status. This is because the user has not selected a specific year. Accordingly, the lodgement status report will be generated with funds that have lodgement status for the current FY.
Example:
Fund Name Current FY Last Lodgement Appear in the report if select "no filter"
A 2017 2017 Yes
B 2019 2018 No
C 2020 2020 Yes
A filter that can generate a report with returns with all years in one is currently not yet available.
Users can further apply Filter By Lodgement Date to filter through a specific period by entering a Start Date and End Date.
Click on Additional Settings to decide what items below to include in the report.
- Fund Name
- Fund Code
- Last Create Entries (CE) Date
- Last Year Lodged (this is the last year the fund lodged an annual return in Simple Fund 360 and may be different to the fund's current financial year).
- Current Financial Year
- Lodgement Status (this will display the Lodgement status of the annual return for the current financial year of the fund. If this is blank, no status exists as no return has been prepared).
- Lodgement Date
- Document Status
- Tax Agent Number
- Tax Agent/Lodging Party
- Amount Due/(Refundable): Report will use the data from the SMSF Annual Return, Section D Label S.
Select Print to generate the report.
